SETTLE

PROMISE


  • My teacher promised to do graduation for us.
  • My father promised to buy a car for me when I get a driving licence.
  • We promised that we would be together forever.
  • My mother promised she made a cake with grapes.



FORGET


  • I have forgetten the address which you told me.
  • I'm sorry, I have forgetten your name.
  • Don't forget that I'll be late home.
  • You shouldn't have forgetten that my birthday's date is 11.02.95 .

    Dear Kübra,
    Thank you for the illustrative and informative example sentences for the transitive and intransitive verb uses.However, I think it would be better if you could revise some of your sentences in this post. For example, you need to change the wording in the first sentence related to the verb "promise" (to do graduation???) Also, the last example sentence concering the verb "promise" needs changing as well.("My mother promised me to make a cake" or "my mother promised that she would make a cake for me" or "my mother promised me to make a cake".
