I chose this video because the language of her was very

understandable. On the one hand,I had some difficulties when

I was preparing this task such as finding a video, making a quiz.

On the other hand, I like preparing and reading my friend's

A TALE OF TWO BRAINS- Reflection Task 2-b

In this entertaining film, marriage expert Mark Gungor explores the differences between men and women.

Mark Gungor mentions about how men and women act differently, they communicate differently, and of course they THINK differently. He shows us that problems of couples arise from thinking in a different way.So, their problems are the result of the HEAD, not the HEART. 

He starts with men’s brains, and he talks about men’ brains are made up of little little boxes and have a lot boxes for everything such as box for car, box for money, box for kids, even box for mother. In addition, he says the rule is the boxes do not touch J  And then he talks about women’s brain are made up of wire, and everything is connected like internet superhighway. He explains that one of the reasons why women tend to remember everything. Then he concludes men do not care, but women care about EVERYTHING J  He says men’s favorite box is box called ‘NOTHING’.  Afterwards, he continues with most of the people face with stress. When a man is stressed out, he just wants to run his nothing box J The last thing he want to do with stress that most likely is talk about…  However, when a woman is stressed out, she has to talk about. If she does not talk about it, her brain will probably explodeJ

I really enjoy with watching this video, and I also find this video both entertaining and informative. I can suggest for everyone.

ANIL TETİK

Anıl Tetik was born in Istanbul Küçükçekmece in 1991. He studied American Language and Literature in Kadir Has University. He interested in motor sports since childhood, but Anıl’s family opposed to this request because it is too danderous. He had reached 100 pounds by the age of 19. That case was not suitable for motor sports. Therefore, He managed to lose weigh in a short time about 4 month, and he eventually is 75 kilos. Then he convinced his family to come true his childhood dream. He has attrached attention with success received from American teachers at the end of one month course. In addition, he joined many contests, got Turkey championship twice, and finally was first made in Eastern European Track Championship by getting three in a row.  

Then he participated in SURVIVOR as a competitor. He raced really in a honest way. He could not win the contest, but he has won the hearts of many people.

Reflection task 1-b

WHY INSTILLING A LOVE OF SCHOOL SHOULD BE YOUR HIGHEST PRIORITY

In today’s world, it is one the most talked topics. Everybody knows that school should be made children to like. There are several reasons for that. However, I want to mention about two reasons. The first reason is that in our country, primary and secondary school are compulsory. If someone wants to get a qualified job, s/he should finish compulsory education. In addition, if a child likes the school, s/he can make a decision easily related to what will do in the future. The second reason is that the parents of a child can train him/ her to some extent. Therefore, the child has to go to acquire necessary education. As the child is trained by equipped teacher, s/he will prepare herself/himself in a good way for the future. Another topic I want to mention is that curriculum is highly significant. If the curriculum is arranged according to students, they are much eager about loving the school. In conclusion, in the article, written by Michael Linsin, is pointed out that if your students do not want to be in your class, if your lessons are asleep-inducing and if you are indifferent to this case, then everything is disaster. So, we, as the teachers of the future, should aware of this situation.   

Reflection Task 1-a

I am Kübra. I was born in Ankara in 1995. When I was 2,5 years old, we moved to Diyarbakır due to my father’s job, and we lived 10 years in there. And then, we went back to Ankara again. I went to primary school in Diyarbakır then continued to secondary school in Ankara. Afterwards, I studied at Kalecik Anatolian Teacher’s Training High School. Now, I am studying at Foreign Language Teaching Department in METU. I have a sister and a brother. I do not know why but, we cannot usually get on well. Another topic I want to mention, I like to travel and I have been so many places such as Mersin, Şanlıurfa, Mardin, Bursa, Çankırı, İstanbul, Edirne… and Bulgaria. I went to Bulgaria thanks to my school’s Comenius project, and that was unforgettable experiences for me. In addition, I love to swim. So, my family and I go to Mersin almost every year. I crazy about Korean series, movies, songs, and people. Therefore, I’d like to learn Korean language. I really like Korean actors but especially Lee Min Ho. Besides, I enjoy to watch Bollywood movies especially 3 Idiots. Aamir Khan is another actor I like. I am watching Once Upon a Times in these days. The best characteristic I have is being punctual. I hate waiting and being waited. I love to read book, but I cannot read because of assignments. That is me, I hope you like.

Exercises on paralelism

As our beagle loves to hunt, someone  opens the back door for her. Though she is so sweet, some people are afraid of her. She barrels down porch steps into the yard, and runs back and forth across the lawn in ecstasy. Her nose cruises the wet grass. These are smells of cats, of rabbits, but other presences too subtle for human detection. After she sniffs, she spins her tail in quick circles. It spins clockwise first, then counterclockwise. These two activities that are sniffing and spinning seem to propel her along.

A man who was John Jacob Astor, and a German immigrant. Although Astorn was lowborn, uneducated, and never learned to speak English properly, he made his initial Money trading Indian furs. He carried on his business to the end in an Accent which was redolent of the Hamburg gutters
